Queen Victoria: A Remarkable Trailblazer Ahead of Her Time

People always ask me how I came up with the name for my tea business, and once they learn my name (Tory) they often put together that I am the ‘Victoria’ in the ‘Vic’ and Jo (don’t worry, we’ll get to Jo at some point). 

Yes, my full name is Victoria, but the tea business is actually referencing my namesake, Queen Victoria. For a long part of my life I didn’t appreciate the badass she was - though she would be very offended to hear me swearing in the same sentence as her name.

Queen Victoria, the iconic monarch of the United Kingdom and Ireland from 1837 to 1901, was undoubtedly a woman who left an indelible mark on the world. Her reign was characterized by unprecedented progress and significant societal changes, making her an influential and transformative female leader.
